HOW TO ADOPT

Concho Valley PAWS wants to make finding and adopting your new best friend as easy as possible. We also have a commitment to each animal to find them the best loving home. An application is required for all potential adoptions. An adoption coordinator will speak with you to make sure this is a good match for both you and the pet.

Looking for which pets are available? Check our Adoptable Dogs and Adoptable Cats. Our cats make their temporary home at Sunset Mall and all dogs are in foster care while awaiting a new, forever home.

Be sure to come by and visit us at one of our Adoption Events - for a full list of times and dates see our event calendar.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How much does it cost to adopt a pet?
Dogs - $140 / Cats - $85
All PAWS adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations and city tag, and are microchipped.

Can I take my pet home the same day I apply?
That varies. We make every effort to confirm your application information on site but if we need additional information or time you may have to wait just a bit to take your furry friend home.

What do I need to bring with me when I apply?
All adopters from PAWS must be at least 18 years old. A valid, government issued photo ID with your current address is required. We will also need information to verify that you are allowed pets at your residence for renters. There is no fee to apply. Donation fees for adoption are due upon approval of your application.

Can I apply even if I haven't found the perfect pet yet?
Yes! We encourage people to have a pre-approved application on file. Then, when you find the right match you will be all set to take your new pup or kitty home.
