Did you know that there are a suprising number of purebred animals saved from euthanasia at our City Shelter each year? PAWS works to find these pets a home locally - but we also work closely with many rescue organizations that specialize in a particular breed.
PAWS works with animal rescue organizations across the U.S. to insure that every adoptable animal has a chance for a new life, ranging from Weimeraner rescue in Dallas, TX to Dachshund rescue in Kerrville, TX to Chow rescue in California.
Our staff contacts the rescue organizations and arranges for transport to that facility. We are in constant need of transportation. If you would like to volunteer to help with rescue transport, go to our Volunteer Page and complete an application so you can receive Transportation requests.
